Blah blah blah...I ended up coloring this to kill time...
I wasn't in the best of moods so there's some bad coloring job and missing highlights (hands...) ...I don't know what to do with the background... [edit] Thurs Sept 1, 2005 Changed some things... 1) I force the white color pencil to add more highlights. 2) I darkened the short hair in the back. 3) Image size is a little bigger (not by much...) 4) Added close up of the eye 5) If I didn't already mentioned it, this is the realistic version of Varynn. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. It look so soft and everything. Hopefully you put this as a print because I'd be tempted to buy one.
As for critiquing.... er I'm finding it hard to pick at something... I would have to say the back of his hair looks a bit odd, only because there's white spots beneath. If you had a medium grey or some other sort instead I think it'd look a bit less contrasty and more soft. Unless you were going for an extreme contrast look with his hair.

I was (wait...actually I still am) debating on whether or not to submit it for prints. The amount of views and feedback are lower than I prefer though. ToT
Mm, now that you mention it...I guess I need to get less lazy with hair. I use a black color penicl to draw in random strands and didn't really think much of all the white spots. And I didn't color it *all* black cause then we'd see nothing but a black...blob...
