Brace yourself, fellow AFI fans. With AFI's new ablum coming out soon, and the new pics I saw of them, it's time to give chibi AFI a new look. The original chibi AFI started the obsession. And the previous chibi AFI created the comics. But now, it's time to reveal the new chibi AFI!

Okay, maybe it's not that big of a deal to you. But to me it certainly is.

The big (permanent) changes:
1) Havok's hair, obviously.
2) The rest of the band's hair as well.
3) Hunter's unshaved chin.
4) Round HUMAN ears!!! "OMG! WTF's wrong with you Meeko?! How dare you lose the elf ears!" all you hard-core chibi AFI fans are probably thinking. The pain runs deeps, no? But sometimes we must sacrifice blah blah blah for yada yada yada!
5) My CG style. Out of habit I added clothing texture and more shading. But then I realize that this is chibi AFI. I don't need to CG realistically. So some things looks more detailed than others...
6) Please look at the details / close-up shots

Minor (non-permanent) changes:
1) Clothing. I didn't feel like CG-ing black T-shirts and pants for all of them. But the clothes above aren't necessary what I'll always give them.
2) The instruments. Everytime I draw them they look different. I would have to own the instruments (or have a shitload of reference pics) to draw them correctly.
3) Havok's eyeliner/eyeshadow.
4) Lineart/outlines. I didn't do the outlines on the comp this time. So the lines are different from usual and some things are...messed up. (Oh, why can't drawing by hand have a copy & paste and undo feature!)

what do you think? Like their new look? Hate their new look?
...Havok looks like he's gonna strangle you if you think the latter...

Oh, if Havok's and Hunter's pose looks familar, that's cause their poses are from the AFI RPG portraits from...whenever it was I did them. So while brainstorming for this, I decided to make it with RPG-like poses. The party of heroes ready to fight the...evil...um...music that plauging the world! >_<

You'll probably notice that I made this available for deviantMOBILE (which I...never do). So go ahead and download this to you cell. ^^
