A (rushed) Star Ocean 3 fancomic (on Albel and Nel. During the game, I decided that Albel isn't an evil power-hungry monster killing everything in his way (but he's still a bit twisted in the head). After talking to certain NPCs (I retalk to everyone in the game after every event) and certain PAs (especially the Crimson Scourge PA), I saw Albel in a new light. And thus, the above fancomic.

In my game, Albel's affection rose for Nel to 46 (starting at 20). It's very possible, in my opinion, that he like Nel (but his twisted personality doesn't allow admitting it). And he never mentioned hating her. Nel's affection for Albel rose to 22 (starting at 15). Nel definately doesn't like Albel to begin with and probably still doesn't in the end. And thus, tha above fancomic.

In the comic, if it isn't clear, Albel is holding a clump of chocolate (he certainly didn't have fun making it). And the old coot he's referring to is Woltar.

During the CG-ing of the comic, a possible event that took place prior to the comic popped in my head. For those curious, read on.
Woltar: (In Woltar's office). "So, boy, what brings you here? With Ariglyph and Aquios in peace, I don't have any tasks for you."
Albel: (Looks out window). "Hmph. Everything's so boring now. Thought you might know something interesting."
Woltar: (silence) "Have you considered settling down and starting a family?"
Albel: (Turns around). "Of course not, you old coot!"
Woltar: (Thinking, "Not 'Why should I?'") "And why not, my boy?"
Albel: (Crosses arms, looks out window). "Hmph. Only worms do that."
Woltar: "If your father was alive...?"
Albel: "And he's not. But if he was, only a strong woman would do."
Woltar: "Such as...?"
Albel: (Turns around). "Have you gone so senile that you can't think? Someone like Nel."
Woltar: (Grins). "Nel, eh?"
Albel: (Erk!)
